4 Women From S2 Labs to Inspire You

Here we share personal stories highlight struggles and journeys of 4 women in Salesforce:

1. Ankita’s Journey: From Petroleum Engineering to Salesforce

Ankita Zoting - Quality Assurance Team Lead, MITS Global Consulting Pvt. Ltd.

Ankita Zoting Pathak’s journey into tech was anything but conventional. With a degree in petroleum engineering and little exposure to programming beyond C language, she never imagined a thriving career in IT—let alone leading in Salesforce. But her determination and hunger to learn paved the way for an extraordinary transformation.

Her career began in 2012 when she faced multiple setbacks in college placements. Eventually, she secured a job at Accenture, where she had to clear three rigorous exams after six months of training to earn her permanent position. She chose Quality Assurance (QA) as her domain and earned an ISTQB certification, solidifying her expertise.

After five years at Accenture, she took a six-month career break in 2019, to focus on her personal life. When she returned, she joined Hexaware, where her career took an unexpected but exciting turn. Introduced to Salesforce, she was instantly drawn to its potential and realized that Salesforce was the path she wanted to pursue.

Determined to upskill, she discovered Salesforce Hulk, where she prepared for and cleared her Salesforce Admin Certification. Wanting to go deeper, she joined S2 Labs, where she took Business Analyst (BA) training. The hands-on projects, real-world scenarios, and domain knowledge she gained proved invaluable.

This dedication paid off—she secured a 100% salary hike, jumping from ₹12 LPA to ₹24 LPA at MITS Consultancy. Today, she works remotely from Goa as a QA Team Lead and BA, training end users and shaping the next generation of Salesforce professionals.

Ankita, now with 11 years in IT, continues to learn and grow, with her sights set on consulting certifications and a future Scrum Master role. Beyond tech, she finds solace in painting, singing, and spirituality.

Advice For Other Women:  Never let your learning curve flatten. Salesforce is an incredible career choice—it’s easy to learn if you’re willing to dive in. And most importantly, never be dependent.

2. Shubhmita’s Journey: From Monotony to Mastery in Salesforce

Subhamita Dutta - Associate, PwC India

Shubhmita always knew she wanted to build things, not just maintain them. After graduating with a B.Tech degree, she began her career at TCS as an Associate Java Developer, working primarily with SQL. However, her role soon became repetitive, offering little room for creativity or front-end development. She longed for a career where she could solve problems, build applications, and grow as a developer.

Determined to pivot, Shubhmita started exploring other technologies. That’s when she stumbled upon Salesforce Admin courses on YouTube by Salesforce Hulk. Intrigued, she kept learning and discovered S2 Labs, where the trainer offered deeper, structured learning. Without hesitation, she enrolled in their Salesforce Developer training.

The journey wasn’t easy. While she gained hands-on experience, she had to be patient when job hunting. Her first offer was for an Associate Support Engineer role. But she turned it down—she wanted to develop, not just support. She kept preparing, revisiting training resources, and giving multiple interviews until she finally secured a role as a Salesforce Developer at PwC.

Now, with three years of experience in Salesforce, Shubhmita is thriving in her career, working remotely from Kolkata. She is proud of her decision to switch and never regrets taking that leap of faith. Today, she not only builds impactful solutions but also enjoys the creative freedom she always craved—both in her work and her paintings, her favorite hobby.

Advice For Other Women: The right decision is never the easiest one, but it is always worth it. Never settle for anything less than what you deserve.

3. Sunita’s Journey: A Comeback Story in Salesforce

Sunita Gautam - Salesforce Consultant, KPMG

Sunita had always been passionate about technology, but life had other plans. After working for a few years as a back-end developer, she took a career break to focus on her family. As years passed, she watched the tech industry evolve, and with it came a lingering fear—was it too late to return?

When her youngest child started school, Sunita decided it was time to restart her career. But the road back wasn’t easy. Rejections piled up, and recruiters questioned her long gap. Instead of giving up, she researched and stumbled upon Salesforce. The booming industry with endless opportunities attracted her instantly, and she started learning from online courses. Soon, she discovered an in-person training by S2 Labs where she was able to join community groups and earn her Salesforce Administrator Certification

Months of relentless learning and networking finally paid off. Sunita secured her first role as a Salesforce Admin, proving that skills matter more than career gaps. Her determination didn’t stop there—she continued upskilling, earning more certifications, and soon transitioned into a Salesforce Consultant role.

Today, Sunita is financially independent, confidently balancing work and family. She actively mentors other women returning to tech, proving that a career break isn’t an end—it’s just a new beginning. Her story is a testament to resilience, growth, and the endless possibilities in the Salesforce ecosystem.

Advice For Other Women: If you’re thinking of restarting your career, take that first step.

4. Meera’s Journey: From Self-Doubt to Salesforce

Meera Sharma - Salesforce Team Lead, Infosys

Meera never imagined she would thrive in the tech industry. Growing up in a small town, she pursued a degree in commerce, believing technology was a world beyond her reach. But as the years passed, she felt unfulfilled and longed for a career with more growth and impact. At 28, when many around her were settling into stable jobs, Meera made a bold decision—to switch to tech.

Her journey was anything but easy. With no formal background in IT, she spent nights teaching herself to code, often battling self-doubt and the skepticism of those around her. She applied for over 50 jobs and faced rejection after rejection. That’s when a friend of hers recommended Salesforce to her. With hope, Meera decided to take a course from S2 Labs and complete Salesforce Admin Training.

Her breakthrough came when she landed a junior Salesforce developer role, proving that persistence beats experience. Over the next three years, Meera’s skills and confidence grew. She climbed the ranks to a senior developer position, led projects, and even mentored other aspiring women in tech.

Today, she earns four times her initial salary and is on the path to launching her own tech consulting firm—dedicated to helping women re-enter the workforce.
