Exciting News! Big changes are coming on the Salesforce platform. Starting July 21, 2025, Salesforce is rolling out a completely new certification experience, reshaping how you earn, track, and manage your credentials.
This update goes beyond a fresh interface. It centralizes access, simplifies the exam process, and improves your engagement with certifications from Salesforce, Tableau, MuleSoft, Slack, and Accredited Professional programs. Here’s a full breakdown of what’s changing, what it means for you, and how to prepare.
Why the Change? One Hub to Rule Them All
Navigating the current Salesforce certification process can be a bit chaotic. You use Webassessor to schedule exams, but your learning happens on Trailhead. Certification tracking feels disjointed.
Salesforce has taken that feedback seriously.
As of July 21, 2025, all Salesforce certifications—including Tableau and MuleSoft—will be unified under Trailhead Academy. This new Salesforce certification experience will serve as your one-stop hub. You’ll get:
- A personalized dashboard to manage your progress
- Tailored certification recommendations based on your goals and history
- Easy access to learning materials, prep guides, and registration tools
Think of it as your command center for all things certification.
Important Dates: Mark Your Calendar
You don’t want to be caught off guard by the cut-off dates. Here’s what you need to know:
- June 30, 2025 – Last day to register for exams on Webassessor
- July 13, 2025 – Last day to take Salesforce exams via Webassessor
- July 21, 2025 – New experience officially launches on Trailhead Academy
Note: If you’ve already scheduled an exam for after July 13 via Webassessor, reschedule it before that date or cancel and rebook through the new platform once it’s live.
Webassessor Is Retiring—Here’s What That Means
For years, Salesforce used Webassessor to manage exam delivery and scheduling. That ends on July 13, 2025. From then on, all Salesforce certification exams will be delivered through Pearson VUE, a widely recognized and trusted testing provider.
While the Salesforce certification exam content isn’t changing (at least for now), the test-taking experience will. Expect:
- A more intuitive exam scheduling interface
- Broader testing center availability
- Improved online proctoring features
And yes, you can register for exams on mobile, but you’ll still need a computer to take the test.
What do you need to do to Keep Your Certifications?
1. Link Your Trailblazer Profile to Webassessor
Your Trailblazer profile will be the new gateway to exam registrations, history, progress tracking, and certifications. But to ensure your past certifications appear correctly:
- Log in to your Trailblazer account
- Make sure it uses the same email address as your Webassessor account
If they don’t match, your credentials might not carry over.
2. No Trailblazer Profile Yet? Create One Now
Do it immediately if you’re new to Salesforce or haven’t set up a Trailblazer profile. Go to Trailhead.com and create your account using the email tied to your certification exams.
What About Exam Vouchers?
Here’s some clarity around Salesforce exam vouchers in the new system:
- Unused vouchers: As long as they haven’t expired, they’ll work in the new platform starting July 21, 2025
- Cancelled exams: If you cancel an exam booked with a voucher in Webassessor, you can reuse that voucher—if it’s still valid after July 21
So don’t panic if you have a few vouchers left. Just be sure to check their expiration dates.
A Preview of the New Platform
Here’s what you can expect from the updated Salesforce certification experience on Trailhead Academy:
- Personalised homepage: Displays upcoming exams and classes

- Smart recommendations: Suggests certifications based on your learning history and career goals

- Unified catalogue: Browse exams and courses filtered by role, product, or skill

- Streamlined registration: Easily register for an exam, choose testing options, and access prep materials from one place

It’s faster, smarter, and designed to reduce friction—especially helpful for those pursuing multiple certifications.
