The Salesforce Spring ’26 release does not include major UI updates, but it does focus on small yet high-impact changes. These updates are ideally suited to enhancing the overall user experience with Salesforce.

In Spring Release 2026, one release has already been established. Two more updates are coming soon in February. These releases vary across instances. For your specified update dates, check the Salesforce Trust website.

In this article, we will be focusing on admin features in the Salesforce Spring Release Notes. We can divide these features into three categories: efficiency, security, and reporting.

Efficiency and Configuration

These features are ideally designed to improve administrative performance by integrating AI and visibility tools. The features listed will reduce the manual Salesforce setup and create a more proactive environment.

Set up with Agentforce (Beta)

Integrating AI features is a smart move to improve administrative productivity. The Agentforce features are not available in the Setup menu as a guide. Admins can now prompt for tasks such as creating objects, managing access, generating configurations, and assisting with formula troubleshooting.

It not only reduces the number of clicks but also guides admins to perform tasks efficiently. However, admins still control whether to accept or reject responses from Agentforce.

Error Console

It is common for admins to miss non-fatal errors scattered across different contexts. With the new error console, a centralized view for many non-fatal and configuration-related errors. The centralized view will allow admins to manage and view errors. They can identify problems, understand the cause, and pinpoint the issue, making solutions easier.

Request Approval Component

The new request approval component will help admins in submitting records for approval directly from the records page. What does this mean? Basically, admins can configure the component to require the submitter to choose the first approver and add a comment in the request.

The component works only with flow-based approval workflows. The old approval process still works; that is just an addition to the flow approvals.

List View Updates

The update in the list view feature is a small yet significant change. It is perfect for the inline editing and sorting behaviour. Unlike before, when you rendered a large number of records and encountered an error while saving, the update prevents this from happening again.

The new 200-record edit limit can be enforced earlier in the process, reducing failures when saving large record sets.

Security and Governance

With Salesforce’s strong focus on security, features that support a secure environment and central command functions help ensure better performance. It gives admins a safe way to control high-risk actions. These features also help maintain the platform’s health.

Connected App Creation Disabled

In the Spring 26 release, creating connected apps is disabled by default and requires explicit admin enablement. However, the existing apps will continue to work. This step is taken to enhance security for admins when using external apps.

Salesforce Shield

With the new Spring release, security is more important than ever. All Salesforce Shield features are centralized through a unified Shield app. This feature includes data detection, field audit trail, platform encryption, and event monitoring.

Salesforce Spring ’26 Admin Feature 5

File Deletion Permission

Earlier, the Salesforce files could only be deleted by the owners or admins. If any access was to be granted, it had to be to modify all data permissions. As a result, it became riskier to grant access to files containing important data.

Salesforce Spring ’26 Admin Feature 6

With the new release, admins can manage and grant file deletion permissions to anyone viewing the file with a single click. It can be done without offering them the “modify all” permissions, keeping files safer.

Salesforce Health Check

As security is a primary concern in the Salesforce Spring 2026 release, Health Check provides admins with better visibility. It lets them check the MFA status, SAML enablement, and session management controls.

Also, admins receive configurable email notifications about health score changes, informing users about the organization’s health check score. You can easily add the admins to be notified.

Trust Centre (Beta)

Over the years, Salesforce offered “trust.salesforce.com”. Now, transitioned to “my.trust.salesforce.com”. But is it just the name? Of course not. This feature also comes with multiple advantages, like:

Salesforce Spring ’26 Admin Feature 8
  • Subscribe to tenant notifications for events.
  • The status tab lets you view organizations’ login information, locations, and MyDomain information.
  • Provides better navigation and access to the organization’s incidents and maintenance history.

Reporting and Compliance

This set of features ensures data transparency and provides tools to help admins identify their data after Salesforce deployment. It lets them give context to the files.

Add Custom Disclaimer To Reports

Admins can now share reports and dashboard folders using specific usernames, making it easier to distinguish them when usernames are similar. You can add custom disclaimers, and admins can segregate corporate-specific or confidential documents for each report. It ensures compliance standards during data audits and sharing.

Salesforce Spring ’26 Admin Feature 9

Admins can add custom disclaimers to reports to support compliance and audit requirements. However, the standard Salesforce disclaimer can not be changed or removed.

Additional Salesforce Features for Admins

In addition to the core features, there are a few Salesforce updates that enhance the admin experience and improve platform management. These updates are:

New Environment Banner

Admins can now view the environment they are working in, like sandbox, production, or developer. This banner will be displayed at the top of the Salesforce screen.

Salesforce Release Manager

Salesforce Release Manager centralizes seasonal release updates, providing a structured, unified timeline. It will allow admins to track the features, their updates, deadlines, and whether they need manual testing.

Scan Files For Malware

Given security concerns, Salesforce introduces native malware scanning capabilities for file uploads and downloads. The malware scan feature will reduce the need for third-party applications for basic security.

Service Cloud Timeline

The service cloud timeline is a visibility feature that allows admins to make a chronological case timeline in a record. It helps them view the full case history in a single view from milestones, updates, and status changes.

Final Notes

As we conclude this feature list, the Salesforce release note for admins primarily focuses on security, performance, and configuration work that makes tasks more manageable and increases productivity. Under the Salesforce Spring ’26 Admin Features, there are other important updates that you can find in Salesforce documentation.

In addition to admin features, the Salesforce Spring Release Notes include several developer-focused features. We will cover them in the next blog. Till then, keep learning and growing with S2 Labs.
